What is a Category Description?
The Category Description is a brief explanation of what the category represents. This description is intended for customers who browse the website. It's important to note that the information you input here doesn't currently serve as metadata.
When you choose to make a category 'Public', it means that the category and its associated titles/ISBNs will be visible to everyone on the website. Conversely, if you select 'Hidden', the category and all its related titles/ISBNs will be concealed from public view.
Please exercise caution when deciding whether to hide a category. While it might seem like a good idea to hide categories that aren't frequently used or are outdated (eg. Bestsellers August 2023), remember that hiding a category also hides all the titles/ISBNs associated with it. So, only hide a category if it's truly meant to be invisible to your users.
